Linux on iPhone
A project has succeeded in installing the Linux operating system on a iPhone. For now, the achievement is just a first step, since it needs several major improvements. The project was completed by developers fans of both, Linux and iPhone.
By the time you’ve got is a dual-boot system: the pre-installed and the installed. When launching the device we should be chosen with which to operate. Among the limitations that have not been polished is the inability to use the touch screen and lack of interface graphics and sound.
The 2.6 kernel that was moved to the platform runs on Apple’s iPhone devices, 3G iPhone and iPod Touch. The developers are still working on this project to improve the functionality of the operating system.
